Description
I’m a songwriter, producer, lyricist, guitarist, singer, keyboardist, and sound designer. I used to tour full time and have since shifted my focus to writing and producing. I’m looking to join a band and/or collaborate with local musicians in some other meaningful way.
The ideal situation would be joining a pre-existing band/project with a catalog of songs and only being responsible for my parts, though I’m open to writing songs with another songwriter assuming you have a catalog of work elsewhere. I’d like to play local shows and am able to tour if it makes sense. I’m open to collaborating remotely but prefer to be in a live setting.
I’m looking to provide melodies, chords, pads, swells, string emulations, lush soundscapes, textures, etc using some combination of synth, guitar, and a tape machine, all being fed through a sophisticated effects chain of modulation, saturation, glitch, stutter, warp, time-stretch, pitch-shifting, reverb, delay, etc. I don’t have a specific genre in mind, all I care about is that the music resonates with me and you’re chill. In case it’s helpful, genres I regularly listen to are pop, shoegaze, post-rock, ambient, industrial, noise rock, post-core, metal, synth pop, electronic, indie rock, hip hop, trap, singer-songwriter, and folk.
I’m 32, have nice gear, am not into partying, but also don’t take myself super seriously.
My current releases don't reflect type of project I'm looking for, but in case you're curious, I release pop songs under the name “Semicolon Blue” and ambient music under the name “Severalist.”
If you're looking to make your songs sound bigger/fuller/more interesting/more modern, I'm your person. Please include links to your music in your response, thanks!
