Summary of Purpose: Responsible for performing farm maintenance and repair duties to ensure Willow Hope Farm is maintained in a safe and sanitary manner. Duties (Essential Functions): • Perform general farm maintenance & repairs. • Work with the Facilities Director or farm maintenance volunteers on building projects • Ensure tools, cleaning materials, and supplies are stored in a safe and orderly manner • Pick up and unload farm and animal supplies as needed (feed, shavings, hay, fencing materials, etc.) • Responsible for keeping the grounds and landscaping clean as well as bush hogging pastures and trimming fence lines. • Adhere to OSHA standards in relation to the proper use of chemicals and equipment involved • Ability to load and transport horses safely and humanely is preferred but not required. • Other duties as assigned by Facilities Director Qualifications/Requirements: • Ability to use farm maintenance equipment • Ability to work independently and without direct supervision • Punctual and dependable with a professional, neat appearance • Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record and be willing to drive KHS vehicles • Accept, support, and represent KHS core values, programs, policies and procedures • Background check required Physical Demands/Working Environment: • Individual will have extended periods of standing, walking and may need to bend, stoop and stretch for purposes of fixing equipment • Includes working in an outdoor environment with exposure to environmental conditions that include working near animals • Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, walking and standing on a regular basis while performing job functions • Frequently lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing up to and exceeding 50 lbs
