Description
This past year I have built a bioactive enclosure for my bearded dragon who is a normal colored girl who is about 4 years old. Very chill.
I just don't have space in my tiny 500 square apartment anymore.
My bioactive tank includes:
200 plus pounds of specialized substrate and a bio shot from "the bio dude" it is designed to not hold moisture for a desert like environment. I also mixed in moss and wood pieces in the substrate. Has living isopods superworms and mealworms living in the soil for ready to eat food.
I have planted a couple plants but there is much room for more.
It will come with both the brand new put in last month Arcadia t5 UVB bulb, as well as a another strip light that's simulates the light needed for the plants and such. Both of these are mounted with command strips and string on the inside of the enclosure. I'm sure that if you wanted them more securely you could screw them into the metal mesh top, but I didn't find it necessary.
The tank housing itself is very light and made out of a PVC type plastic. 120 gallons 4ft by 2ft by 2ft. The top is very dense metal mesh, the front I have installed sliding plexiglass doors.
Comes with double deep dome light fixture with 100 w ceramic heat bulb and 75 watt basking bulb.
I can include the hides in the tank as well and food dishes I have a few of.
Asking for $400 for all of it or best offer. $500 for beardie and the tank. I spent over $600 on building the tank alone.
I want her/the tank to go to somebody interested in bioactive or just enthusiastic about reptiles.
Like I said the tank by itself is not very heavy but with all of the substrate dirt in it you will need two or three strong people to get it out of my apartment. (Willing to discount price if able to pick up within the next month as I am moving)
