Any experienced Oxford-area players looking to put together a long-term, four-piece covers band with an emphasis on vocal harmonies and doing the work to get really, really good? Always seems to be plenty of work for a band that can sing three-part. I’m a recent Oxford transplant. Competent 50-something singer and guitar player. Several years of experience in a working D.C.-area band doing 80 or 90 shows a year. Sense of humor. Sober. Settled. Easygoing. Determined. Reasonable. Do my homework. Southern and southern California influences. Rock and country rock. Acoustic and electric. Anyway, lots of experience with booking and P.R. and song selection and demographics and managing a set and holding a crowd. Productive rehearsals. Getting things done. If you’re a drummer who sings and knows how to pace a set; maybe a bass player who sings; or a piano or guitar player who sings and has the same experience and gets what I have in mind, the coffee’s on me.
