GENERAL PURPOSE: This position is responsible for properly receiving incoming inventory, timely shipping outgoing orders while adhering to safety procedures providing accurate and timely shipments. This is a TEMP TO HIRE Position with a 90 DAY PROBATION PERIOD. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Receives all parts that are shipped in, making sure they are received in good condition and that packing slips match part and quantity. • Pulls, packs and ships orders for all customers in the most efficient manner. • Creates shipping labels for each package and ensures that each package ships securely following shipping guidelines and procedures. • Stock all parts in the designated space in an organized manner and cross-checks inventory accuracy. • Quality checking. • Provides excellent customer service to walk in customers. • Uses forklift in daily basis for loading and unloading pallets. • Maintains a clean and safe work area and update supplies as needed. • Other duties as assigned. SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: • Great time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. • Mechanically inclined and ability to use basic hand tools. • Literate in Outlook. • Must possess great customer service skills with a professional and friendly attitude. • Strong work ethic and self-starter. • Able to receive productive criticism. • Experience in the area of Shipping and Receiving is a plus but will train the right person. • Forklift Certification is a plus but not required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Employee is required to frequently stand, walk, talk or hear. Employee is frequently required to climb or balance; stoop and kneel. Employee is required to frequently carry and lift up to 70 pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is subject to outdoor weather conditions through all seasons (cold and hot weather) as shipping area is open. Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm Occasional Saturday or Early Morning (5am)
