Wanted: Mother Cat and Kittens

My Mom always had a cat, with or without kitten(s), when I was growing up. I even had a cat for two years when I was away at college and lived off-campus. I miss having a cat in the house. My spouse and children are extremely allergic to cats so we never had one. I am now retired and live alone. I would like the company of a mother cat and kitten(s) to add some life - some more heartbeats - to my place. I am not terribly interested in a Sphinx, a Maine Coon, a Siamese, or a Bengal cat. I have heard those breeds can be unfriendly. (I don't know if that's true, though. Please tell me if your experience has been different.) In your email please include some information and photos about the mother cat and her kitten(s). Thank you.
