Today, House of Smith is the largest independent and winemaker-owned winery in Washington State with wines sold in all 50 states and 23 countries worldwide. And it all started a little over 20 years ago, with 330 cases of 1999 K Syrah sold out of the back of Charles’ 1987 Astro van. We are seeking a hard worker with a positive attitude to join our cellar crew for 2022 summer bottling, harvest prep, and harvest. If you are ready to work in a fast-paced, fun environment we want you to join our team. The position starts in July and will go through December. Our urban winery is conveniently located in Seattle, WA. Daily lunch and snacks are provided. Job Requirements: -Team-Oriented, Punctual and Reliable -Self-Motivated and Energetic -Attention to Detail -Able to lift 50# repeatedly and work on your feet up to 10 hours/ day -Willing to work long hours, weekends and overtime during harvest season -Ability to read, understand and complete paperwork accurately -Ability to change focus, duties and activities quickly and with a good attitude Responsibilities Include but are not limited to: -Maintain a clean and safe work environment -Follow specific cleaning and sanitation practices -Barrel work including topping, cleaning and maintenance -Operate and Maintain equipment with training -Follow directions and Standard Operating Procedures Prior experience is helpful but not required.
