Deckhand- Full-Time Summer Position

We are seeking to add four additional deckhands aboard our Ferry Service Vessel from June 15th to September 15th Our company provides a ferry service that provides a vital lifeline to several communities as well as transportation to thousands of tourists every year. We have been operating for over a decade and have become a staple of local transportation. Duties and Responsibilities: - Handle lines necessary for mooring the vessel. - Provide enthusiastic hospitality and assistance to guests. - Stand watch and tour decks to maintain passenger and vessel safety. - Assist the Captain during emergencies and effectively use safety equipment. - Perform general maintenance duties such as mopping, cleaning, sweeping and trash removal. - Maintain uniform and personal grooming in compliance with appearance standards. Minimum Qualifications • Must be able to pass an initial drug screening exam. • Must be able to work for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds. • Must be able to handle/throw lines. Former experience aboard vessels is highly beneficial but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
