Construction Laborer - Job details: Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour Job Type: Full-time Number of openings for this position: 1 Schedule: 8 hour shift / Weekend availability / Monday to Friday / On call / Day shift / Night shift / Overtime Benefits: Health insurance / Paid time off Job description: Southern Counties Concrete Cutting, a 36 year old established company performing concrete and asphalt demo work in Corona and the surrounding areas, is looking for individuals to join our growing team. Concrete Laborer/Trainee positions are available. We are looking for motivated, responsible, quality minded and efficient people for concrete cutting, drilling and demolition. This is a very dirty job, must be ready, willing and able to shovel dirt. Requirements: Ability to perform all of the following: to lift, carry, push and pull at least 50 pounds; repetitive motions (kneeling, bending, lifting), Able to work 8+ hours in heat or cold. Availability - Must be able to work Monday through Saturday and some overtime when necessary Must have the ability to follow verbal and written instructions Must be able to work nights and be able to come in on short notice Must be willing to take and pass a drug and background check Must have a valid driver’s license. Must have a clean driving record (DUI's in past 10 years, or more than 1 point on driving record CAN NOT BE ACCEPTED), a DMV record print out will be requested at the time of interviews. Must have a good attitude and be a team player Job responsibilities include: Vacuuming and/or shoveling slurry Shoveling dirt Operating a 90 pound jackhammer and/or 40 pound rivet buster Rolling 100 foot hoses and electrical cords Dumping and/or cleaning slurry drums Washing interior and exterior of work vehicles and equipment Organizing equipment inside trucks Showing up to work in early hours of the morning Using hand tools and power tools Beneficial skills: Mechanical knowledge Automotive repair knowledge Able to problem solve in the field Experience in the commercial construction industry Job Type: Full time Only serious applicants need apply!
