OK yes the Ukraine conflict has some effect mainly because of the oil embargo but no where near a reason for food prices to double. It's simply that the large corporations saw this as a fantastic opportunity to raise prices without being vilified and accused of price gauging which is exactly waht they've been doing. Since our government is nothing but crap now, they are simply letting the corps get away with whatever they want as long as the politicians get their bribes and campign money. Foods like sugar come from Africa and Brazil not Russia. Yet every company / corporation say they will continue to raise prices far beyond what's neccessary to equal the profits they were making before and let the governments subsidize their people. The douche-bags running these companies should all be dragged into streets and let the people beat and stone them. How spectacular that would be.
