I am Sergio Ruiz, a Colombian Musician, Producer, and Graduate of Berklee College of Music Valencia. I am offering personalized electric or acoustic guitar lessons on an individual or small-group class (4 players max) basis in the Houston area. I can offer these lessons in Spanish or in English. Whether you have never played the guitar before or you simply want to refine your technique, these classes will provide the opportunity to understand the instrument as an element of musical creation. More than a guitar lesson, my classes are intended to open you up to general musical concepts that can be applied in any situation, with any instrument and to get you creating your own sounds! I also offer a more traditional approach to lessons, where in which we would be learning a specific repertoire or certain tools/progressions for styles such as Jazz, R&B, Funk, Rock (electric guitar), Boleros or Folk (acoustic guitar). My classes seek to be as versatile as possible and to be flexible to your needs! The basis of them will always be to learn in a safe space and to have a good time!
