Northport Boat Yard is seeking a full-time Marine Paint and Fiberglass Technician Requirements/skills/abilities: - Should have some years of fiberglass/gel coat experience. This can be substituted with formal training. - Should be able to match gel coat and paint. - Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment. Duties: - Perform paint / gel coat repairs on all types of watercraft. - Repair and fabricate all phases of fiberglass. - Repair other structural damages, such as replacing rotted wood. - Apply surface coating applications via brush and roll technique or airless and conventional sprayers. - Perform abnormal duties, as needed, such as launching, hauling, storing, and detailing boats. The ideal candidate is certified, has a good working knowledge of boats, enjoys working outside, familiar with computers and equipment, able to stand for long periods of time and able to lift heavy objects. Relocation assistances for travel can be negotiated! This is a year round position. Pay rate will be determined by experience starting at $25/hr.
