Looking to hire an after-school babysitter for my 8 y.o. daughter and 9 y.o. high-functioning autistic son. Must be able to pick children up from summer camp punctually at 3:00 pm (PS 84 Williamsburg, Brooklyn). We live within walking distance from the school. Typical hours will be from 3:00 pm - 7 pm Monday - Friday. Possible occasional holidays, and date-nights. Potential to continue into the school year. School year hours are 2:30-7:00 pm. $20 per hour about 20-22 hours per week. Applicant will be an employee of the Respite / Community Habilitation agency called Braverhood (https://www.braverhood.org/). Must be legally able to work in the US and able to pass fingerprint, reference, and background checks. Other Musts: Punctual Reliable High-energy Patient Attentive Do not apply if you are not reliable and punctual. The kids like to play at the playground in the afternoon. Applicant will need to watch the children closely and mediate playground disputes. Homework help as needed, snack preparation, light housework (getting kids to clean messes made after school), includes walking kids to classes within the neighborhood.
