Description
Press release from the Village of Shorewood:
June 3, 2022
Healthy green ash and white ash trees 12" diameter and over are injected with insecticide on a three-year rotation to protect them from the borer. This program, combined with selective removal of small number of ash trees each year, allows us to preserve canopy cover while we slowly rebuild a more diverse, resilient urban forest.
The 2022 program will focus on the northwest portion of the Village, including all trees north of Capitol Drive and west of Oakland Avenue. For more information about the EAB Injection program and Shorewood's urban forestry operations, please visit our website.
