As of June 3, 2022, Brown County shifted from a medium to a low COVID-19 community level. This means that a decrease in both cases and hospitalizations has occurred according to the CDC data: COVID-19 Community Levels | CDC.
CDC COVID-19 community levels are based on three key metrics:
New COVID-19 CasesNew COVID-19 Hospital AdmissionsPercentage of Inpatient Hospital Beds Used by COVID-19 Patients With a low COVID-19 community level, wearing a well-fitting mask or respirator is not required, however residents may consider wearing them in public indoor spaces to further reduce their risk at their own discretion.
