Description

Press release from the Town of Wakefield: June 2, 2022 The second public workshop in Wakefield's Master Plan project will take place on June 29 at 6:30 p.m. This virtual session will review two of the eight Master Plan topics: Historic & Cultural Resources and Housing. The community can register at mapc.ma/forum2-wmp2033. This event will be followed by a three-week survey that all are encouraged to take. Wakefield's Planning Board, with support from the Metropolitan Area Planning Council and a community-member advisory group, launched Wakefield's Master Plan project earlier this year. A Master Plan is a strategic framework that guides the Town's future physical and economic development based on the community's vision and goals. It provides a roadmap of strategies and recommendations for the next ten years. Last year's Vision 2030 project will serve as the foundation during the in-depth Master Plan process.
