Description

Thrillingly minimalized by Jean-Michel Frank in the 1920s, Marie-Laure and Charles de Noailles’s Paris residence became a real thing of wonder over time, as treasures — and tackiness — obliterated the celebrated bareness that came before. When: June 28th 6pm About Mitchell Owens: Design journalist Mitchell Owens explores the intimate histories of iconic interiors — who commissioned them, who made them, how they were used, and why. Owens is a former editor at AD, Elle Decor, The New York Times, and other publications, the founder and former host of The AD Aesthete podcast, and the author of several books, including “Fabulous! The Dazzling Interiors of Tom Britt” (Rizzoli) and “In House” (Rizzoli). He is working on a forthcoming Rizzoli biography of twentieth-century style icon Pauline de Rothschild.
