Join Mitchell Owens as he presents the next chapter of his Rooms with a Viewpoint Lecture Series: The Duke and Duchess of Windsor’s dining room in Paris
June 14th 6pm
Decorated by Stéphane Boudin of Jansen, the Duke and Duchess of Windsor’s luxurious Bois du Boulogne mansion combined opulence, history, and reinvention — call it royal recycling — into rooms that mirrored the lives of the residents themselves. Design journalist Mitchell Owens explores the intimate histories of iconic interiors — who commissioned them, who made them, how they were used, and why.
Owens has been an editor at Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, The New York Times, and other publications, the founder and former host of The AD Aesthete podcast, and the author of several books, including “Fabulous! The Dazzling Interiors of Tom Britt” (Rizzoli) and “In House” (Rizzoli). He is working on a forthcoming Rizzoli biography of twentieth-century style icon Pauline de Rothschild.
