After a two-year effort, the 21-acre Richardson Green parcel in northern Lynnfield is now permanently protected under the stewardship of Greenbelt|Essex County's Land Trust, with a conservation restriction held by the Lynnfield Conservation Commission. The Richardson Green parcel – now named LYNNFIELD WOODLOT – is the most recent addition to Greenbelt's inventory of conserved properties throughout Essex County.
From Greenbelt|Essex County's Land Trust news announcement of May 25, 2022:
"We're delighted to announce that in partnership with the Town of Lynnfield, the Commonwealth, Ipswich River Watershed Association and many others, the 21-acre "Lynnfield Woodlot" property on Main Street (formerly referred to as Richardson Green) has been permanently protected. An important ecological and drinking water resource, this land will provide a gateway to trails on other conserved land in the future. Thank you to all who made this project possible!
