Description
It's time for another round of singer-songwriters at Marcy Jo's Muletown in Columbia, TN. Lance Carpenter is a BMI Nashville recording artist and professional songwriter known for penning his first #1 by co-writing Kelsea Ballerini's song “Love Me Like You Mean It.” But before this big-hearted Arkansas farm kid had any success in music, he chose a career of service to others. He got a job with the state of Arkansas after he graduated from Arkansas Tech University and subsequently with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), where he worked to support those affected by dozens of disasters, including Hurricane Katrina. Amid the considerable stress and turmoil of the job, he found that through songwriting, the music he loved was able to quiet his mind. Carpenter moved to Nashville in 2011 and, within 18 months, he signed his first publishing deal. His albums include his self-titled debut album “Lance Carpenter” (2013), “Hay Days” (2015) and “Mustang” (2018). “The Demo Sessions” album (2021) included the hit “You’re Beautiful.” He’s performed with Toby Keith, Luke Bryan, Justin Moore and Randy Rogers Band. He released his debut self-titled debut album “Lance Carpenter” in 2013 and has performed with Toby Keith, Luke Bryan, Justin Moore, Randy Rogers Band and more. Songwriter Kevin Denney is an American country artist who made his debut on the music scene with the release of his self-titled album 2002’s "Kevin Denney." That album produced three chart singles, including "That's Just Jessie," a Top 20 hit on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs) charts. His self-titled debut album came out in April of that year and also did well, charting in Billboard's Top 20, propelled by the success of his second single, "Cadillac Tears." Host Wynn Varble is an American country music musician and songwriter. The self-taught musician picked up the guitar at the age of 15 and relocated to Nashville in 1992 signing with Starstruck Writers Group in 1994 (which later became Warner/Chappell Music). Wynn had his first #1 song "Have You Forgotten" with Darryl Worley in 2003. The song was nominated for SONG OF THE YEAR by the CMA. In 2008, “Waitin' on a Woman,” which Wynn co-wrote with Don Sampson was nominated by the CMA for SONG OF THE YEAR. His #1 song, “I'm a Little More CountryThan That” was recorded by Easton Corbin and nominated by the ACM for SONG OF THE YEAR. Varble has co-written songs that have been cut by a range of country artists including, Garth Brooks, Lee Ann Womack, Brad Paisley, Darryl Worley, Easton Corbin, Kellie Pickler, Montgomery Gentry, Jason Sellers, Gary Allan, Trace Adkins, Clint Daniels, Kevin Denney, Tracy Byrd, The Kinleys, Chris LeDoux, Danni Leigh, Mark Chesnutt, and Sammy Kershaw. Recent songwriting hits include writing credits "Mind On Fishin'" (Trace Adkins) and “Sawin’ Logs” penned by fellow songwriters Brice Long and Brandon Kenny (Dillon Carmichael).
