Press release from the City of Omaha: June 3, 2022 The Charter Study Review Convention has completed the initial review of amendments proposed by Mayor Jean Stothert, the Omaha City Council, and city staff, so the June 6 Convention meeting has been cancelled. The next meeting will be June 13, when the members will consider amendments proposed by the public. The deadline to submit proposals is Friday June 10. Proposals can be submitted by email to [email protected]. This week, members discussed amendments proposed by the Finance Department, Human Resources, City Clerk, and Douglas County Election Commissioner. The proposals will be further discussed by the Convention committees before members vote to refer amendments to the City Council later this summer.
