Concord Life Science Center in Concord, California is hiring a PT facilities custodian. The part-time position is for 1 to 2 days a week taking care of the facilities. Duties 1. Responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of all areas, inside and out, such as bathrooms, break rooms, glass doors, office, laboratories and parking lots. 2. Perform minor repairs such as replacing commercial toilets gaskets, change HVAC unit filters and other minor repairs as needed. 3. Once a quarter polish floors. 4. As needed help moving heavy lab equipment with appropriate moving equipment. 5. As needed go to hardware or other stores to purchase supplies. Requirements 1. HS education 2. Basic ability to use hand tools and floor polishing tools. 3. At least 1 year performing facilities and janitorial duties. 4. Fluent in English - spoken, reading and writing 5. Legal to work in the US. 6. Must pass background check and drug testing. 7. Valid driver license 8. Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, must be able to lift at least 30 pounds, able to climb ladders and other activities necessary to perform job duties. 9. Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction). 10. Must be a good team person and able to follow instructions. 11. Knowledge of proper cleaning methods, cleaning materials, janitorial tools, and equipment. 12. Knowledge of routine building building and grounds maintenance.
