Description

Hello, I have a 2 1/2 year old neutered male Pyredoodle looking for a new home. I bought a townhome that’s on the smaller size and he’s just not adjusting. He needs a fence yard and a family who understands that he’s part Great Pyrenees and what comes along with that. Poodles and Great Pyrenees are known for being alert dogs so barking when things don’t seem normal or he hears something is very common. He doesn’t take well to random dogs showing up at the property again due to his BREEDS. He is not the type of dog who enjoys the dog parks either. He’s very hard headed and again that’s the breeds. He’s very sweet and loving and probably one of the cutest doodles out there. He would do best in a home without cats as he gets to excited and wants to chase them. He has always been good with potty training but in new places he does have accidents until he is familiar with the place. He’s always been crated and never left to free roam. Hes been down to chew random things when left alone and not watched. However he enjoys his stuffed animal and doesn’t tend to chew them up. He does well for bathes and being groomed. He does need to be kept clean as his skin does get irritated from dirt. He would do best in a home with older children as he will completely knock them over without meaning to. Hes very friendly to my friends and family however he doesn’t prefer strangers at pet stores to walk up to him and pet him. He’s an awesome guard dog and won’t let anyone in your home nor yard without you around. I normally kennel him when people come over and do a slow introduction. He does tend to get to excited and will start throwing his big feet at people and that doesn’t tend to feel the best. He’s a big boy at 80lbs. He is truly a big goofy boy. I want to be brutally honest about his flaws as I want the best home for him. He needs to be able to run more and someone who has the patience to train him and work with him. Feel free to ask questions. Rehoming fee applies. I would like to do a home check before he’s placed. Please respond with why you would be a good fit for him. Ideally I would love a active young couple to get this boy.
