'Gunshots' Heard In Palo Alto Were Fireworks Set Off During Funeral

PALO ALTO, CA — Sounds of gunfire frightened residents in Palo Alto on Tuesday. Police confirmed that the noises, heard near the 600 block of Arastradero Road in the Greater Miranda neighborhood, were fireworks, the Palo Alto Police Department said in a statement. The fireworks were set off during a funeral at a nearby cemetery.
