To make the administration of Banner Health, public and consumers aware of unsafe staffing ratios at Banner Health so they can help fight for Nurses, RT, and other staff. Realizing that unsafe staffing ratio's lead to unsafe care, more medical errors, and possibly harm to a patient. Awareness to needs to be shined on this health and safety issue so that proper care of patients and a better work environment for nurses can happen. For every patient above a 1:5 Med Surg Ratio or 1:3 PCU ratio then the increase of a mortality increases by 7-9%. Nobody wants that to happen not Nurses, medical providers, or families and patients. My mom was recently a patient at Banner Baywood and due to unsafe staffing ratio's my mom was without her oxygen for sometime and a fatal situation could have happened. When I brought it to administrations attention it was not addressed and our family was ignored.
