Evening Two of the Buster Keaton Festival celebrates cinema legacy with a Jazz Age party! Join us and our special guest, Dana Stevens, Slate Magazine’s film critic and culture commentator, and author of the new film history, Camera Man: Buster Keaton, the Dawn of Cinema and the Invention of the Twentieth Century.
The evening begins with Keaton’s 1928 silent opus on love, film and chaos, The Cameraman, accompanied by Kansas City jazz pianist, Jackie Myers. After the movie, enjoy conversation with Stevens and a gaggle of local film connoisseurs! The Restaurant at 1900 provides movie food and premieres the Camera Man cocktail. Dana Stevens will have her acclaimed book for sale and a pen ready to sign it for you!
