I thought it was funny, you had a laundry list of complaints but you did not mention the January 6th insurrection as something that bothers you. Perhaps you are unaware of that event. If you have some time make sure to tune in this Thursday, I believe at 8pm eastern time to hear about what took place on Jan 6th. I believe I heard that they will be talking about the Proud Boys and the part they played in the insurrection. It seems those fine proud boys were all ready to go full throttle on the coup (at trumps request they stood back until 1/6). As for gas prices, yes they are terrible, you may be aware of the concept of supply and demand. During the pandemic oil and gas was less in demand so the companies backed off on production. Once society started to edge towards getting back to something a little closer to normal, the demand for gas and oil increased. Unfortunately oil and gas companies have been hesitant to ramp up production. Thus you have limited supply with increased demand. That results in higher prices at the pump. This problem was made substantially worse when the US and many other countries decided to not support russia's aggression in ukraine with money via oil/gas purchases so the result was an even tighter supply of oil/gas which resulted in a dramatic increase in prices. THE HIGH PRICE OF OIL/GAS IS A WORLD WIDE PROBLEM because oil and gas are traded globally, it does not stay locally, it follows the money of the highest bidder. You can deny the facts but you are only fooling yourself and possibly some lemmings out there who are unable to base their "knowledge" on facts and reason. During WWII you may know that those who were stateside needed to conserve and ration all sorts of things. Some people probably did a lot of complaining and others tightened their belts and conserved as a patriotic act in support of this country and our troops overseas. Since WWII there have been times when we were called upon to conserve and I am not too sure we have been rising to the occasion. What if anything have you done to conserve? That is a rhetorical question, no need to answer me. I make conscious decisions about my energy use and group trips whenever possible.
