I have a fluval flex 9 gallon for sale for $175. I bought it last year. It has been well maintained and has no broken parts. The tank includes a bag of either fluval stratum or Eco complete underneath the sand for nutrients for the plants to thrive, sand, driftwood, plants (anubias nana, Java fern, etc. (I forgot the name of all the plants I got)), pebbles, rocks, and snails. Also has floating plants (frogbit and there may be a few pieces of duckweed in there). The rocks/pebbles I have gotten from various rivers, lakes, etc. in California. The snails that are in the tank include rams horns, trumpet snails, and bladder snails (basically look like pond snails but with spots on their shells). The ramshorns in the tank are various colors such as brown, golden brown, leopard, opaque, and opaque leopard. The opaque snails are cool because you can see their internal organs function underneath their shell. The snail population will level out according to how much the ecosystem can sustain (i.e. how much algae is available for them to eat). I have not had a problem with any of the snails eating the live plants. I can give you a small ziploc of some bottom feeder tablets you can give the snails every once and a while. There are no fish currently in the tank. There will likely be copepods in the tank but those don’t hurt the fish or the plants. I did a water change so they may be hard to spot for a while. I think copepods are a good addition to an ecosystem tank and help keep the aquarium healthy. The filter has over a years worth of beneficial bacteria so the tank is ready for fish. No heater included so if you want to add tropical fish in, you will want to buy a heater. Message me if you have any questions. I can send a video of you would like.
