ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges of drug possession, domestic battery, DUI and driving violations. Here is information from the reports: Drug possession Jonathon Mellone, 30, of Elmhurst, was arrested about 3:30 p.m. Sunday at his house in the 400 block of East May on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police were called to check on Mellone's well-being. They said they found loaded hypodermic needles and suspected heroin. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. Warrants Faith McDonald, 23, of Elmhurst, was arrested about 10 p.m. Sunday at Villa and Albert on a DuPage County Sheriff's Office warrant and a charge of driving with a suspended license. She was released on bond. Alex Martinez, 21, of Berwyn, was cited about 10:30 a.m. Thursday at North and Villa on a DuPage County warrant and charges of no valid driver's license, no insurance and expired registration. He was released on bond. Cynthia Brigham, 31, of Hampshire, was arrested about 8:30 p.m. Friday on a DuPage County Sheriff's Office warrant. She was released on bond. Domestic battery Ashley Jacox, 25, of Chicago, was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Saturday on Elm Creek Drive on two counts of domestic battery. According to a police report, Jacox punched a woman and her husband. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail. DUI Lonnie Fenton Boydston, 61, of Bensenville, was arrested about 5 p.m. Friday in the 800 block of North York on charges of DUI, improper lane usage and no insurance. According to a report, police received a 911 call about a man, later identified as Boydston, asleep at the wheel. He was released on bond. Rigoberto Salinas-Chagoya, 20, of Cicero, was arrested Saturday in the 200 block of East St. Charles on charges of DUI, unlawful use of marijuana by a driver, open alcohol, illegal stopping where prohibited, tinted windows, tinted lens cover, no insurance and consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was released on bond. Edilsar Carrillo Matias, 26, of Addison, was arrested about 1 a.m. Sunday at York and Interstate 290 on charges of DUI, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and possession of marijuana by a driver. He was involved in a single-car crash. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. Rolando Barajas, 24, of Addison, was arrested shortly after midnight Monday at Grand and Oaklawn on charges of DUI, unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver, driving with expired license plates and transportation of open alcohol by a driver. Police came into contact with Barajas because his car was stalled. He was released on bond. Driving violations Ariana Rivera, 18, of Addison, was cited at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Lake and York on charges of driving with a suspended license, no insurance and leaving the scene of an accident. She was released on bond. Police report information is provided by local police departments. Charges are not evidence of guilt.
