Desser Aerospace is seeking apprentice and seasoned wheel & brake technicians to service aircraft landing gear components, in our FAA certified repair station. This is an opportunity to grow your career at a large, international aerospace company. This position is located in Montebello, CA., and is a full time, M-F, on site job. We offer initial and on going training and we provide all tools and current materials to support the servicing of each component, to return to service to the customer.
Entry level technicians are encouraged to apply, we offer training in all aspects, from FAA procedural methods, cleaning, disassembly, Non -destructive testing methodologies, repair, anti corrosion and painting, approved parts use, re-assembly configuration, testing and final quality assurance procedures and required administration. Ability to become an authorized FAA repairman with advances in pay.
Requirements and skill sets needed:
Practical knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems
Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protection against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
Knowledge of the use shop equipment
Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Deadline and detail-oriented
Ability to occasionally lift 40 lbs.
Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Job Type: Full-time, on site, pre-employment and FAA on demand drug testing program in place.
