ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA — Yesenia Sanchez has taken an early lead over incumbent Gregory Ahern in in the Alameda County Sheriff's race.
All 454 Alameda County precincts are reporting but the county has not estimated what percent of the vote was counted as of 9:10 p.m.
Sanchez led with 39,983 votes (46.95 percent) and Ahern received 31,016 votes (36.42 percent).
Pamela Price was in the lead for Alameda County district attorney with 33,942 votes (39.6 percent) and Terry Wiley was second with 26,864 votes (31.33 percent).
Incumbent L.K. Monroe led in the county superintendent of schools race with 40,777 votes (52.4 percent) and Alysse Castro received 37,437 votes (47.6 percent).
