Here are the top three stories today in and around Buckhead: The Atlanta Blockchain Center (ABC), the city's first blockchain startup incubator, is opening in Buckhead this month. Founded by serial tech entrepreneur Marlon Williams, ABC will welcome anyone interested in learning more about blockchain technology.According to a press release, the Center's grand opening will kick off with a ribbon-cutting by Mayor Andre Dickens on Jun. 13. (AfroTech) Street racers drew a large crowd of spectators as they performed stunts at the intersection of Roswell Road and Powers Ferry Road on Sunday night. Things turned more dangerous when someone threw a firecracker at a car which caused a small explosion that blew out the car's back window. Neighbors told Channel 2 that they are fed up with the ongoing stunts at this intersection. (WSB Atlanta)Congregations across metro Atlanta are gathering for the first time since the North Georgia Methodist Conference voted to let go of nearly 70 churches granting them independence from the United Methodist Church. The split happened when many congregations disagreed with changing the Methodist Doctrine so that traditional customs and practices would be LGBT-inclusive."There's a good bit of grief that I have to deal with," said Reverend Chuck Savage, the pastor of Sardis Methodist Church in Buckhead.
