RIVERHEAD, NY — Police responded to another school threat in Riverhead Monday.
According to Riverhead Town police, at 10:11 a.m., officers responded to Riverhead Middle School after a student threatened to "conduct an act of violence against the faculty and students."
The Riverhead Police Department's detective division was notified to assist with the investigation, which is still ongoing, police said..
The student's parents are cooperating with police, authorities said.
Last week, a Riverhead teen made threats of violence against the high school and was arrested on two separate days, police said.
