Description

BROCKTON, MA—Westgate Mall has partnered with the Brockton Library Foundation to welcome The Little Free Library, located near Burlington. The Little Free Library is a nonprofit established to expand access to books through volunteer-run library stands. Westgate Mall visitors will be able to take a book from the library stand or donate one they are no longer reading. "Westgate Mall is delighted to welcome The Little Free Library," says Rebekah Macchia, Marketing Director at Westgate Mall. "The Little Free Library is a wonderful community resource, and we hope it encourages a love of reading with our local families." The library stand at Westgate Mall will be supervised by Brockton Library Foundation (BLF), founded in 1992 by a World War II fighter pilot who wanted to keep the library open despite financial difficulties. Since its founding, BLF volunteers have raised over a million dollars to help pay for library resources, repairs, and renovations.
