Mather based electronics recycling company is looking for a responsible Universal Waste Technician. The technician will perform the job in a safe and compliant manner. The job duties include manual labor associated with batteries & lamp sorting, labeling & packaging containers, inventorying and tracking different waste streams, and other duties as assigned. This is a non-supervisory position focused on universal and some hazardous waste handling in a safe manner. The ideal candidate should have good organization and communication skills. Trainings will be provided. Duties & Responsibilities: • Collects, receives, and consolidates waste materials from different production groups. • Labels and inventories each container properly. • Segregates and packages batteries and lamps by type. • Tracks inventory to meet regulatory shipment time frames. • Prepares shipping documents for waste materials in a compliant manner. • Wears required personal protective equipment. • Participates and cooperates in safety processes, including following written procedures, attends required training. • Maintains compliance with applicable environmental, safety and transportation regulations (EPA, OSHA and DOT). Job Requirements: The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job. • Education: High school diploma or GED (accredited). • Experience: 1-year warehouse experience is preferred. • Valid Driver’s License. • Must be organized and pay attention to details. • Able to do basic computer data entries. • Able to work in a dynamic working environment independently and as a team member. • Able to lift and work in non-air-conditioned warehouse environment.
