We are now hiring for our Eastern Washington Territory (base shop in Spokane) for the following positions: Entry-level Drilling Apprentice: This position is responsible for loading and unloading explosives from the truck, pumping blast holes dry with a water pump, carrying buckets of stemming stone to stem blast holes and other construction laboring activities. This role is responsible for attending weekly safety meetings and learning the safety aspects of working around explosives and on construction sites. The ideal candidate will be physically fit and willing to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be willing to travel and stay out of town when needed. Pay $21-$25 and 45-55+ hours per week. Great career advancement opportunities. Rock Drill Operator: This position requires some prior construction and heavy equipment operating experience. This role includes performing daily maintenance on all heavy equipment, productively executing proper drill layout and patterns, managing and maintaining all drill supplies, accurately recording all drill patterns/reports, communicating mechanical or terrain issues with Project Manager. CDL Truck Driver: The primary responsibility of a McCallum Powder Truck Driver is to safely load and transport ANFO product from the magazine location to the job site. The driver will also be responsible for loading and unloading all the trucks and keeping accurate inventory of all explosive products.
