MCT, Inc. (the Missoula Community Theatre & Missoula Children's Theatre) has an opening for a seasonal part-time SCENIC CARPENTER. This 10-month half-time position (20 hours per week) will start on July 18, 2022 and be contracted through May 18, 2023. The Scenic Carpenter works under direct supervision of the Lead Carpenter and the Technical Director to insure timely completion of all scenic elements for all programming at MCT. Duties/skills needed: • Knowledge & experience with and ability to safely operate all wood working tools including, but not limited to, table saw, compound miter saw, band saw, power drill, and pneumatic stapler. • Must be able to work well as a member of a team and on their own. • Knowledge of scenic construction techniques is a plus. Physical requirements: • Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crawling, squatting • Must be able to lift 40 pounds • Climb up and down ladders • This position pays $12.50/hour
