MCT, Inc. (the Missoula Community Theatre & Missoula Children's Theatre) has an opening for a MASTER ELECTRICIAN. This is a 10-month position which will average 25 hours per week with the possibility of more during tech weeks. Position to begin July 18, 2022 and contracted through May 18, 2023. The Master Electrician works directly with Lighting Designers to hang, focus and cue Community Theatre productions and any outside production that brings in a lighting designer. Technical Duties/requirements include: • Ability to maintain all theatrical lighting equipment used by MCT. • Ability to read and execute a lighting plot. • Knowledge and experience in how to hang, circuit, focus and change lamps in theatrical lighting instruments. • Familiarity with ETC Ion Lighting Console or other computerized lighting console The successful candidate will be self-motivated and able to work on their own as well as with a team. He or she will also: • Work at heights • Climb up and down ladders • Carry up to 40 pounds • Crawl, bend or squat for periods of time • Sit at a desk for periods of time • This position pays $13/hour Please send letter of interest and resume to Victoria Larson.
