Looking to Rehome Australian Cattle Dog Mix

Description

Ripley is a 25 lb cattle dog mix, ~2 years old. He’s extremely smart and sweet, but he also is very selective about who he likes - he can be reactive to strangers. Once he learns that someone is fine and will not harm him, he will warm up and become your best friend. He loves being outdoors and exercising (especially running and hiking!). Inside he loves snuggling up on the couch. He doesn’t like cats or children it seems; he likes most other dogs but he can occasionally be picky with them. He’d be great at agility, he knows lots of tricks, but his prey drive does take over when he has the chance to chase. He would do best with an active person/couple who have experience with reactivity and a yard to play in would be a big plus. Rip needs someone who understands his worry about new people and who will give him the space and time to observe and approach when he is ready. Once he realizes who his new people are, he will offer all the love in his heart. He is neutered, house trained, healthy, and up to date on his vaccinations. Our lifestyle prevents us from letting Rip live the life he deserves and while we are sad to see him go we want him to be able to live his best dog life. If you are interested please reply with: Why you want to adopt Ripley? Description of your living situation (apartment, house, yard, etc.). Any replies without the above information will be ignored. A meet and greet would be mandatory and if possible a visit to his new potential home before Rip is transferred to his new family. Rehoming fee is to dissuade sketchy people, a home visit would eliminate the fee entirely,
