For finished rock and pop-based originals with various sub-genres to them. For recording serious albums and local gigging. All my parts are written (guitar, vocals, and arrangement of parts) but would like creative musicians to collaborate with me and write their own parts for my songs (namely bass and drums, but second guitar, percussion, and keyboard are also welcome). I can play some intermediate level drums, bass, and some beginner keyboard and can in most cases offer direction if needed on a song by song basis. Or I may like what you do but ask that you try another direction I may be going for with the song - other than that you should expect to largely write all your own parts. I am a healthy, fit, and younger-looking 40s singer/songwriter/guitarist. But band member age doesn't matter to me as much as musical chemistry, creativity, professionalism, and just good basic etiquette between clear-minded musicians. Although I prefer that you are also relatively fit and healthy if we are going to perform live. And that you are not committed to another music project while we are working together. That said, I am looking for relatively quick and productive rehearsals so that we can move into recording and then gigging in relatively short time. We would likely take on about 2-3 songs at a time until we've mastered about 10 of them as a group for the first album. I don't have a place to practice with drums, but all other instruments are okay to practice at my place if we happen to not have a drummer yet or whatever. I also have a good deal of equipment (such as PA and my own drum set) to contribute to a space if someone in our group can accommodate it for drums. Or course, if we should meet at an hourly studio as a first audition then I would pay for it myself. Ideally, I would like to find a bassist and drummer that already know each other personally and musically more or less and have a practice space. And if someone may needs funds of some kind for any reason (even if just for using electricity to rehearse, gas money for travel, lunch money, etc.) then please let me know it I will certainly look into accommodating your needs. All I currently have up is an old studio demo which demonstrates some of my early writing and performing. All the new songs are much better in my opinion and I have grown much since then as a songwriter and performer. So if you are serious and interested then please send me a sample of one or more songs you wrote and played on - something original, preferably with rock or pop vocals on it (just an instrumental might not be good enough for this purpose).
