Description
Site Assessment Specialist will be responsible for traveling to customers’ homes in order to gather data and key metrics important to the residential solar process to ensure the design team can properly prepare permits needed to facilitate the installation of photovoltaic systems. The data gathered will include photos, roof dimensions, and information regarding the age and condition of the customer’s home.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct a physical site survey using a variety of tools and equipment
• Maintain a solid knowledge base of local code requirements, roofing processes, and solar installation practices
• Fill out site surveying sheets needed by the Engineering Department to produce permits and documents
• Take roof measurements and photos of necessary electrical panels, meters, vents, dormers, chimneys, and general property to document project site
• Assess tree shading that may affect the photovoltaic system
• Uploading pictures and site assessment documentation into CRM
• Coordinate remotely with Project Manager on a daily basis
• Effectively manage your schedule to complete time-sensitive tasks on a daily basis
• Attend inspections
Job Requirements:
• Bilingual English and Spanish is a Must
• Possess their own hand tools to start
• Have own work vehicle
• Must be willing to travel to all Texas major cities
• Comfortable with heights/ladders and working outside
• Able to open live electrical panels
• Professionally communicating well with people of varied backgrounds and ability levels
• Detail-oriented
• Valid Driver’s license
• Proficiency with smartphone and applications
• Experience in solar panel installation, or basic knowledge of home construction, or electrical work preferred
