PM Parking Enforcement Officer Location: Santa Ana, California Minimum age: 21 years California drivers’ license required Full-time: 40 hours per week Starting wages: $18.50 per hour Days off: Wednesday and Thursday Shift hours: 5PM to 1:30AM Assignment: 5 hours foot beat 3 hours vehicular patrol Uniform and equipment supplied by LAZ Parking Uniform cleaning paid for by LAZ Parking Union Membership required · Union benefits · Holidays: 10 paid holidays per year · Union sick leave · Union vacation · Union Dues: $33 per month · Union Initiation fee: $150 taken in increments of $25 per month until the full amount is paid. California Guard Card Must possess or obtain within 2 months of being hired Employee must pay guard card fees - Approximate Cost of $200 LAZ Parking will reimburse the cost if employee remains employed for 6 months Principal Job Duties: Patrol assigned areas on foot and/or in a vehicle to enforce parking regulations in the City of Santa Ana pursuant to the Santa Ana Municipal Code and the California Vehicle Code. Issue handwritten and computer-generated parking citations and transfer citation data to centralized system. Maintain a high public visibility and have constant interaction with the public. Regularly communicate general information regarding citation issuance, parking regulations, citation adjudication, and Anta Ana geographic. Adhere to all policies, procedures, and directives of LAZ Parking and the City of Satna Ana. Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Work under general supervision and typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Monitor on-street parking meters for vehicles in violation of parking ordinances by following an assigned route. Maintain and care for all company issued equipment. Assist with any special assignments and projects as requested. Other related duties as assigned.
