Rent Portland Homes Darla Andrew's Office is looking to hire 1099 independent contractors to fill in our handyperson positions. Must be licensed & bonded in the state of Oregon (proof & CCB a condition of hire). We're a small team based in NW Portland, but we manage homes all over the Portland metro area. You will be using your own vehicle for this position. This job will be working on mostly single-family homes in the Portland Metro area. Tasks will include: installing smoke detectors, replacing garbage disposals, installing dishwashers, etc. Small paint jobs - 1-2 rooms, touch-ups. We are looking for people who can cover SE / east of the river or SW / west of the river areas. Most of our homes are located in SE Portland and the Bethany (SW) areas. Skills / Experience Desired - Repairs (smoke alarm installs, repairing decks/railings, etc) - Installing appliances - Interior & exterior inspections - Diagnostic/assessing issues - Scheduling repairs with tenants & communicating as needed - Removing garbage / dump runs (if you have the equipment) - Small landscaping jobs optional if you're interested & have the equipment Painting skills are highly desired.
