GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY: This position reports to the Project Manager or Project Supervisor or Route Manager. Nature and Scope of Position: 1. DTK Policy and Procedure A. Insure supervisor understanding and implementation B. Enforcement throughout the project C. Answers employee’s questions regarding policies or procedures in a timely manner. 2. Administration A. Attend Weekly staff meetings B. Daily meetings with Building Lead Supervisor’s C. Assist with supervisor/lead meetings as needed with employees D. Safety programs: Development, implementation and coordination Weekly or biweekly for 15 minutes or a daily statement / reminder that takes 2 minutes E. Utilization and control of labor and materials (Is the customer getting its money’s worth?) F. Daily control of hours, of overtime hours G. Make sure your teams have the tools they need to do the job 3. Training programs: Development, implementation and coordination A. Recruitment (Actively seeking new employees) B. Evaluation and Testing C. Orientation D. Placement E. Retraining and Skill Matching F. Supervisor Development 4. Quality Control A. Conduct daily / weekly inspection program all departments B. Complaint/Request call in log C. Periodic Scheduling (Write down the items that reoccur in each department so you can schedule and keep track of) D. Personally follow-up on Customers requests / complaints 5. Manpower Management A. Comply with staffing schedules / Adjust schedules as needed (inform emp.) B. Route all staffing requests through Project Manager or Route Manager C. Allocate labor resources for maximum effectiveness D. Train/Re-train as needed E. Keep Employees informed on upcoming events (times and dates) F. Team work 6. Payroll A. Follow established pay rates for each position B. Comply with budgets C. Bi-weekly payroll review and approval D. Assure timely distribution of payroll 7. Project Retention A. Anticipation of Customer Needs B. Specification compliance and communication C. Periodic compliance 8. Project Productivity A. Periodic review of employee's maintenance techniques Periodic review of employees set up techniques Periodic review of employees cleaning techniques B. Review of equipment usage, do they have the equipment they need? C. Training/Re-training of new procedures 9. Extra Tips A. New Employees (First day) -First Impressions *Greet in a friendly manner *Ensure he or she is at ease *Introduce to the rest of the crew -Schedule, Uniforms, Badges, & back belt *Give information on days off and hours working * Explain when uniform will be in -Operation Overview *Explain what there roll and responsibilities are *Explain in detail what is expected and demonstrate the task *When possible walk the new person around campus, concentrating on there areas of responsibility 10. Increasing Productivity A. Not only is it important to tell the person how the job is done, but then: i. Set clear realistic and measurable objectives ii. Periodically evaluate how they are doing iii. Correct them if they are wrong in their methods and show them the correct way B. Sell the Job i. Sell the importance and value they have at the church ii. Teach them they are not working for someone else, they are doing it for themselves (Work as if you are working for the Lord himself) C. Provide the Right Tools D. Let Them See You Sweat i. Stay involved ii. Learn how to do the job properly so you can teach E. Do Your Homework i. Create and refine written duty roosters ii. Write specific job descriptions for each worker
