Company Name: Keala Ranch Position: Farm Worker Start Date: ASAP Hourly: $28.50-33.00 Job Overview We are looking for hardworking and responsible individuals to join our team at our beautiful tree farm on the northeast side of Kauai near Moloaa. This job is a hands-on position working to maintain the many functions of a tree farm. The work entails manual labor in an outdoor environment in all conditions. We are seeking persons with previous work experience in horticulture and tree maintenance who are also willing to learn under the supervision of our staff. The daily work functions will change day to day but range from specialized tree care to basic maintenance of a functioning tree farm. Responsibilities -Management of Tree Crops Plant new trees and maintain soil health Prune existing trees and observe tree health Inspect foliage and determine necessary treatments of potential pests Assist in irrigation of crops Harvest and record crop records Fertilize trees and observe changes in tree health -Grounds Maintenance Operate mower Assist in weed whacking Light hand weeding Help with debris removal/ material hauling Aid in any Irrigation needs Mulching Tree removal Qualifications Experience in related fields such as horticulture, landscape design, arborist, professional groundskeeper, or tree farming laborer Ability to use basic hand tools and operate machinery Must be able to lift 50 pounds Must have Health Insurance Must have access to a reliable vehicle that is licensed and insured on the state of HI (4x4 preferred) Contact: Please send us an email AFTER reviewing the criteria for this job and I will send you an email address where you can send your resume and cover letter.
