The Heights District Fourth of July Celebration at Armature Works is one of the biggest and best in the bay. This year’s event, presented by My Doctor’s Live and benefiting K9’s for Warriors, will be one of four featured locations participating in the City of Tampa's Boom by the Bay. Festivities include a large-scale riverfront concert, fireworks display overlooking downtown Tampa, Friends of the Riverwalk Boat Parade, Hot Dog Eating competition, Kid’s Zone and American-inspired art that will be auctioned off during the event. The celebration kicks off at 3pm and will go until 10pm. There are several ways guests can enjoy the Fourth of July at Armature Works. The nation’s largest provider of trained Service Dogs to military veterans suffering from PTSD, traumatic brain injury and/or military sexual trauma. With most dogs coming from high-kill rescue shelters, this innovative program allows the K9/Warrior team to build an unwavering bond that facilitates their collective healing and recovery. This treatment method is backed by scientific research (from Purdue University’s OHAIRE Lab) demonstrating Service Dogs’ ability to help mitigate their veteran’s symptoms of PTSD while simultaneously restoring their confidence and independence.
