Description

The wording of the second amendment, to maintain a well regulated militia, was required by Virginia before they would ratify the constitution. The Virginians were not talking about protection from government, they were talking about protection from and control of their slaves and to maintain the slave trade. That fact must never be spoken by the crazy gun loving right wing nuts who would like to own slaves again with their guns.
