Description
PDX Indie Restaurants and Women Founders can benefit from a little community support. So we came up with an idea to combine the two under the collective power of Women Supporting Women (WSW). Gathering on a Wednesday of every month, we hope to bring business to a woman-owned restaurant and be in community with other founders on our lunch hour. This invitation is for *business owners only. Thank you for your understanding. There's no set agenda. Eat good food, support women-owned businesses, connect with other owners, share stories, scheme up collaborations, whatever is needed I know we'll figure it out together. This month, we’ll be hosted by the wonderful Judith Stokes of Derby Kenton. For our 5th event, we're treating the founder community to Brunch + Tea + Yoga on the back patio of Judith's beautiful restaurant in the Kenton Neighborhood. As usual, drinks and other menu items are available for purchase. Maintaining restorative rituals in our lives is how we protect our most important business resource, us. Come relax in a lil tropical oasis and get treated to a delicious brunch tasting menu, paired with Briana Thornton's Aesthete Tea, and an intentional standing series led by Rachel Brooks, owner of Seeking Space Yoga. Please ensure you can arrive at noon and stay at least until 1pm. We also ask that you wear loose fitting comfy clothes. I'm happy to announce that through the generous donations from the community, we've crowdfunded enough money from our Treat a Boss GoFundMe campaign to host 40 bosses. However, space is limited. These will go fast. 1 ticket per customer. Ticket sales are nonrefundable and go toward ALIST, a Filipina-Woman Owned consultancy organizing the event. After the event, we'll share contact information with all who registered to make meeting up again even easier. May's meet up was such a success. Let's keep these connections going all year long! *************************** *The intent of these meetups are to connect true business owners together so they can strengthen their relationships with others struggling through entrepreneurship. Business ownership isn’t for everyone and the folx attending are really a certain subset of our community. Of course we are also treating them to an afternoon and much needed break, but the conversations center mostly around navigating this journey and knowledge sharing with other women. We don’t want to exclude folx looking for connection, but at the same time we want to hold onto the integrity of what this is. It truly is a rare and important space. If you feel this is you, you are welcome. If you don’t, I invite you to make a donation to the Treat a Boss GoFundMe campaign to show your support.
