Description

Since February 24, 2022, Russia has waged a full-scale war on Ukraine, destroying historical cities and taking the lives of thousands of Ukrainians who are defending their homeland. On Saturday, June 25th- we will be hosting a benefit dinner to raise money for humanitarian efforts, as well as celebrate the rich Ukrainian culture through food and music. Ivana Kupala is an ancient Ukrainian celebration of the "birth of the summer sun" marked with rituals of herb collecting, bonfires, and bathing in the river. Chefs Lauren Schaefer, Amiel Stanek (Bon Appetit), Hannah Black (Lil' Deb's Oasis), and Alexis Delaney (Talbott and Arding) have collaborated on a multi-course, family-style meal, drawing upon traditional Ukrainian foods while utilizing the Hudson Valley summer bounty! Tickets: Suggested donation of $250.00 includes: 5pm: Cocktails and appetizers, on the St. Michaels Ukrainian Orthodox Church lawn. Make a celebratory flower crown to wear with dinner. 6:30pm: Let the feast begin!
