FREDERICKSBURG, VA — June is Pride month and events celebrating the LGBTQIAP+ community kicked off last week. Throughout the Fredericksburg region, residents and businesses have planned events to recognize the occasion. Some of the noteworthy events around Fredericksburg include a Pride event at a Fredericksburg Nationals game, a Pride march and community event, and a community clean-up at Alum Spring Park. Sky Box Pride Party at the Fredericksburg Nationals StadiumTuesday, June 7 at 6:30 p.m.The Fredericksburg Pride non-profit organization is teaming up with the Rappahannock Regional Transgender Support Group for a fundraising party in a sky box on the third base line of a Fredericksburg Nationals game. There will be a catered buffet and proceeds will benefit the Pride non-profit and the Rappahannock Regional Transgender Support Group.Park and Trail Clean Up at Alum Springs ParkSunday, June 12 at 10 a.m.Fredericksburg Pride will be partnering with Keep VA Cozy for a clean up event at Alum Springs Park. Participants will meet at the pavilion at 10 a.m.Fredericksburg Pride March and FestivalSaturday, June 25 at 10 a.m.The march will begin at 10 a.m. at City Dock and will end at the festival location at Old Mill Park. The festival will include theater performances, musical performances, and a drag show. There will be an afterparty beginning at 6 p.m. at Strangeways Brewing.
